About Marco Porello

The Porello family’s winemaking roots date back to the 1930s, when Cesare Porello transformed his small property in Roero into an estate dedicated to wine production. At the time, the region was better known for peaches than for the Arneis wines that would eventually bring Roero international recognition.

Today, Marco Porello is regarded as one of the area’s historic producers of Roero Arneis, with the family’s commitment to quality continuing across three generations. Careful vineyard work, attention to detail and respect for the land remain at the heart of every wine produced.

The Winemaker

Since 1994, the winery has been led by Marco Porello, Cesare’s grandson and a trained oenologist. After studying at the renowned oenological school in Alba, Marco expanded his experience in both Bordeaux and Chianti Classico.

His approach brings together generations of family tradition with a thoughtful, modern perspective on winemaking—allowing the character of Piemonte and its vineyards to remain at the center of every bottle.
