General Job Description:

A key member of the Operations team, the General Manager will report to the Director of Operations and perform general managerial functions. The General Manager will manage the daily operations of one of our restaurants, including the selection, development and performance management of their immediate team and employees. In addition, they oversee the inventory and ordering of food and supplies, optimize profits and ensure that guests are satisfied with their experience while visiting our restaurant. The General Manager must embrace and exemplify our superior team culture, have a passion for hospitality and loves people and guest service. Duties will include:

·  Oversee and manage all areas of the restaurant and make final decisions on matters of importance
·  Adhere to company standards and service levels to increase sales and minimize costs
·  Responsible for ensuring that all financial (invoices, reporting) and personnel/payroll related administrative duties are completed accurately, on time and in accordance with company policies and procedures
·  Manage labor forecasting and review/manage labor budget cost
·  Meet all budget numbers to ensure bonus opportunity
·  Manage food cost with the Executive Chef
·  Estimate food needs, place orders with distributors, and schedule the delivery of fresh food and supplies
·  Forecast food and beverage costs to meet budget requirements
·  Responsible for ensuring consistent high-quality food preparation and service 
·  Enforce sanitary practices for food handling, general restaurant cleanliness, and maintenance of kitchen and dining areas
·  Ensure compliance with operational standards, company policies, federal/state/local laws, and ordinances
·  Maintain professional restaurant image, proper uniforms and appearance standards amongst your team
·  Must be Manager ServSafe certified
·  Will uphold all ServSafe guidelines
·  Ensure positive guest service in all areas. Investigate and resolve complaints, taking any and all appropriate actions to turn dissatisfied guests into return guests.
·  Ensure that proper security procedures are in place to protect employees, guests and company assets
·  Ensure a safe working and guest environment to reduce the risk of injury and accidents
·  Completes accident reports promptly if a guest or employee is injured
·  Manage shifts which include daily decision making, scheduling, planning while upholding standards, product quality and cleanliness 
·  Provide direction to employees regards operational and procedural issues
·  Interview potential hourly team members. 
·  Direct hiring, supervision, development and, when necessary, termination of employees
·  The ability to motivate our team with a positive atmosphere while still accomplishing the day to day operations
·  Maintain an accurate and up-to-date plan of restaurant staffing needs. 
·  Prepare schedules and ensure that the restaurant is staffed for all shifts according to forecast
·  Provide strong presence in local community and high level of community involvement by restaurant and the team
